Traditionally when a client required a number of signs where the quantity exceeded 10 or more, and all were of same design, the job would be assigned to a Screen Printer.
The final cost of this job, would be determined by expensive Stencil Preparation Costs. These Stencil Preparation Costs are determined by the number of colours and images required on the print. Finally the cost of Labour and materials would be added to the stencil preparation costs and divided by the number of prints required.
With the introduction of Digital Printing these Stencil Preparation Costs have been Eliminated. This permits shorter print runs to be less expensive and a practical solution to any marketing campaign.
There are many Sign and Screen Print businesses which operate Digital printers. In the majority of cases these printers are Solvent or Aqueous Ink, Digital Printers. These types of printers require printing to a pressure sensitive vinyl, and then laminating to the sign material (substrate).
Unlike these, at Newimage we operate a CS7070 UV Flatbed UV Curable Inkjet Printer, which prints directly to the material, eliminating the cost of the vinyl media, the labour to laminate to the substrate and Stencil prepartion as mentioned earlier.
